Israel has become a force to be reckoned with in judo in recent years, but recently its gymnasts are also getting noticed on the world stage after picking up several medial in the European Championships.

In the last few months, athletes from the young nation snatched up several medals even in windsurfing and tae kwan do.

Linoy Ashram, 21, won a gold medal in the individual rhythmic category last month, becoming the first athlete not from a former Soviet country or Bulgaria to win gold in decades. She will be representing the Jewish state in Tokyo in 2021. The women’s team also won first place int he team competition.

Meanwhile, the men’s team picked up gold and bronze medals in individual competitions.

Artem Dolgopyat, 23, won gold in the floor exercise and third in the vault While Alexander Myakinin won bronze for the high bar. Dolgopyat will also compete in the Olympics next year.

Israel judokas medalled in the European Judo Championships. Peter Paltchik won the gold and Tal Flicker won silver medal in separate categories. Ori Sasson lost in the quarterfinals. For the women, Inbar Lanir won a gold medal and Maya Goshen a silver in separate categories as well.

Israel is the only nation in the world however, where athletes from other nations, pressured by their Islamic overlords, refuse to compete against “dirty” Jews. Of course, what is worse than completely against a Jew, is getting your butt kicked by an Israeli!

Judo is one of Israel’s strongest sports. Israeli judokas were responsible for five of the nine Olympic medals the country won.
