Iran still breaking agreement nuclear agreement, threatening to respond if US doesn’t remove sanctions

Reports emerged this week that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has found that Iran is violating yet another part of its agreement and is making small amounts of uranium metal, which could be used in a core of a nuclear weapon, and was supposed to be something they ceased manufacturing until 2030.

This came out as the Israel Defense Forces’ Military Intelligence Directorate estimated that if the Islamic republic decided to enrich uranium in levels, it could develop a bomb within 2 years. This appears to be a positive assessment that may be due in part to the assassination of Iran’s top nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh, in November. Fakhrizadeh’s death possibly is the reason behind an apparent pause in Iran’s nuclear program.

Iran has threatened to wipe out the Jewish state.

Israel is widely believed to be behind the killing although has not admitted it. Israel is also believed to have launched air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in recent years.

Iran has been breaking all sorts of agreements in the 2015 nuclear deal, known as Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), an agreement to which U.S. President Joe Biden wants to return.

Former President Donald Trump took the U.S. out of the deal in 2018 and instead imposed heavy sanctions on the country. Iran’s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi threatened said this week that if the U.S. failed to remove sanctions, Iran would surge ahead with its weapons program.

“If a cat is cornered, it may show a kind of behavior that a free cat would not,” he said on state TV. “Our nuclear program is peaceful and the fatwa by the supreme leader has forbidden nuclear weapons, but if they push Iran in that direction, then it wouldn’t be Iran’s fault but those who pushed it.” Of Iran claiming that it’s program is peaceful, is like Hitler saying he loves Jewish people! They have a long history of deceitful propaganda.

This report came out as Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps chief Maj, Gen. Hossein Salami declared that Iran has weathered heavy American sanctions and urged Washington to change its approach to his country — something Biden already promised he would.

Salami also said that Arab countries who normalize relations with Israel will “burn” because “true Muslims do not accept such behavior from their rulers.”
