Hamas thanks Leader of British Opposition Party for Nakba Day support

If the Hamas terror group is thanking you, that can’t be a good sign. Last week the Palestinian group thanked United Kingdom Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn for recognizing the Nakba (the catastrophe in Arabic), which is how Palestinians commemorate the founding of the State of Israel.

“We cannot stand by or stay silent at the continuing denial of rights and justice to the Palestinian people,” he wrote. “The Labour Party is united in condemning the ongoing human rights abuses by Israeli forces, including the shooting of hundreds of unarmed Palestinian demonstrators in Gaza… demanding their rights.”

Corbyn conveniently forgot to mention the 700 rockets and four Israeli civilian deaths at the hands of Palestinians in Gaza a few weeks back.

Corbyn is obsessively anti-Israel. He has been criticized for calling terror groups “friends” and has disproportionately proposed motions against Israel in parliament more than any other nation. He had also attended a ceremony that honored the terrorists whole massacred the 1972 Israeli Olympic team. His party is currently being investigated for charges of anti-Semitism.

Hamas was happy to receive Corbyn’s support and praised him for condemning “the ongoing occupation and its crimes against our people.”

“We also call on the current British government to stop supporting the Israeli occupation state and to listen to the voice of wisdom and reason and adopt policies in support of the Palestinian legitimate rights that will lead to stability in this vitally important and highly turbulent region,” Hamas continued.

Corbyn also backed a Nakba Day march held in London last weekend which drew 3,000-4,000.

Corbyn fails to see that, like the UK, Israel is a democracy and the Palestinians have not had an election in nearly 15 years. Israelis, including Israeli Arabs, have freedom of speech, religion and the press. Palestinians have no such freedoms, and speaking against Hamas is a death wish. The press have been beat up, jailed and bullied when they tell the truth about Hamas. It is shocking that a man who could easily become Prime Minister of England, finds affinity with terrorists.

He also referenced the day two weeks ago when Hamas launched 700 rockets at Israel. He failed then as well, the Hamas missles, and made it seem that Israel was the aggressor, merely saying: “Last week’s escalation of violence, during raids on Gaza, killing 25 Palestinians, and four Israelis, is both distressing and dangerous.”

Israelis know where they stand when it comes to Corbyn but receiving praise from a terror group is always shocking.

“Here is a free piece of advice: if Hamas is thanking you then you’re on the side of terrorism,” said Israeli Knesset member Yair Lapid.
